Bangladesh Ovibashi Adhikar Forum (BOAF)

Bangladesh Ovibashi Adhikar Forum (BOAF) works to protect the rights of migrants, returnee and their families in each step of migration by stimulating safe and decent migration, showing respect and dignity, and recognizing socio-economic development. 

In 2016, participated 9th Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) summit in Dhaka, it organized 8 (eight) Divisional Consultation on Migration and Development. BOAF has been organized and facilitated 375 Courtyard meetings to sensitize the migrant community at 10 migration prone districts of Bangladesh and reached almost 15,000 beneficiaries. BOAF rescued and return 10 women domestic workers from different countries and confined situations.  For BOAF organized a total of 8 Divisional Consultations, and district-level level consultation for sensitizing the civil societies, media and government authorities at divisional and district level on Safe migration and Migrant Workers’ Rights and organized Divisional level multi-stakeholder conference on the occasion of GFMD. BOAF observed and celebrate International Migrant Day on 18 December in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
