Centre for Community Development Assistance (CCDA), a pro-poor, non-political and non-profit development organization, was established in 1990 at a remote Bangladesh village named Adampur at Eliotgonj south union under Daudkndi Upazila of Comilla district by a group of volunteers having a vision for a society free from exploitation, inequalities and discrimination. CCDA has impressively grown over the years, and is currently implementing a number of projects and program engaging more than 650 staff to provide services to some 10-15 lacs beneficiaries with 125,000 members of 500 unions/municipalities in 36 upazilas under 6 districts through 68 branch offices. It was registered from Social Service Department in 1990, NGO Affairs Bureau in 1996 and Microcredit Regulatory Authority in 2008.

CCDA has worked towards raising awareness of the people, poor in particular, about wellbeing and related development issues including health, gender and environment; uplifting socio-economic status of the rural poor especially destitute women, disadvantaged people and adolescents through a host of measures; providing healthcare facilities, improve sanitation status and increase access to safe water for the poor people, increasing access to local resources and facilities, and help utilize the resources for productive and useful purposes by the target groups.

CCDA is currently engaged in the programmes including women development and microcredit, education and literacy, safe water, sanitation and hygiene, health care service, agriculture, fisheries and livestock, ENRICH –a holistic approach towards household –focused pverty eradication, migrant worker’s rights, Strengthened & Informative Migration Systems (SIMS), Social and Economic Exclusion and Migration (SEEM), Asserting Migrants Rights (AMR), Ramittance and Payment Pertnership (RPP).
